VOTER ALERT!

Make sure that your voter registration information is up-to-date. 

The new law requires any voter who wishes to vote by mail to request a mail-in ballot EACH YEAR. You will not be eligible to vote by mail if you have not requested a mail-in ballot for the 2024 elections. 

Are you ready to vote? Answer these questions to find out:

1. Is your voter registration up-to-date? Click here to check. 

2. Have you moved since 2022? If so, you need to update your address to be eligible to vote. 

3. Has your signature changed since you registered to vote? 

Your signature on your voter record is used to verify your signature on a certificate for a vote-by-mail ballot or provisional ballot, a candidate petition, an issue petition or any signed writing requesting a ballot or making another change. The signatures must match in order for the ballot or petition to count or other change to be made.  Signature updates can be made at any time. (F.S. 98.077) Please update your signature using a voter registration application (English/Español).

4. Has your voting precinct changed? Some precincts have changed since 2023. Check your voter registration card to make sure you are going to the right poll location for each election.

5. Are you planning to vote by mail? Be sure to request your vote-by-mail (absentee) ballot by Thursday, August 8, 2024 to vote in the Primary Election, and by Thursday, October 24, 2024 for the General Election. You must now request a mail-in ballot EACH YEAR to vote by mail.

6. Are you planning to drop your ballot in a drop box? Drop boxes will only be available during early voting days.

Key Election Dates

 Primary Election Day is Tuesday, August 20, 2024

  • The deadline to register to vote: Monday, July 22, 2024
  • The deadline to request an absentee (vote-by-mail) ballot (postmarked by) Thursday, August 8, 2024

 Early Voting Period

  • Primary Election: August 10-17
  • General Election: October 26 - November 2

In addition, Supervisors of Elections have the option to offer more early voting days on the 15th, 14th, 13th, 12th 11th, or 2nd day before an election.

  • The deadline to register to vote: Monday, October 7, 2024
  • The deadline to request an absentee (vote-by-mail) ballot (postmarked by) Thursday, October 24, 2024
